Longford Y4 was purchased in 2012 as a high marbling sire for The Wright Wagyu herd. He came after 7 years of natural service at Longford and was still fit, sound and very quiet and yet with high libedo such a nice bull to handle in the paddock.

He has an outstanding pedigree being out of a Michifuku daughter out of an Haruki 11 daughter of Suzatani. She is a full sister of Shigeshigetani and 3/4 sister to the great Sanjiro and Kanadagene 100. This is unquestionably the most powerful cow family available and being sired by ETJ003 just adds to his value. Full credit to Arthur Dew of Longford for breeding the sire.

Longford Y4 is in the top 6 bulls for AUS-meat Marble Score in the 2014 Australian Wagyu Research EBV's and the No 3 bull in the breed for Fullblood Terminal Index, a truly outstanding position for this 12 year old bull but not surprising considering his exceptional pedigree.
